M4 GT4
The BMW M4 GT4 is a customer racing car developed by BMW Motorsport for global GT4 competition, based on the F82 M4 platform and introduced for the 2018 racing season. The GT4 features a modified version of the S55 3.0-liter twin-turbocharged inline-six engine producing approximately 431 horsepower in GT4 Balance of Performance specification, paired with a 7-speed M Dual Clutch Transmission with paddle shifters and racing-optimized software. The engine includes restrictors and BoP adjustments to ensure competitive parity across GT4 manufacturers while maintaining BMW inline-six character.
The M4 GT4 features comprehensive racing modifications including FIA-certified roll cage, racing seat and safety equipment, Öhlins racing suspension with fully adjustable dampers, limited-slip differential, upgraded cooling systems, racing brake system with ABS, lightweight body panels, adjustable aerodynamic elements including front splitter and rear wing, and center-lock wheels. Weighing approximately 3,197 pounds (1,450 kg) per GT4 regulations, the car achieves competitive lap times across diverse circuits. The M4 GT4 competes in numerous series worldwide including Pirelli World Challenge, British GT Championship, IMSA Michelin Pilot Challenge, and various national championships, earning victories and podiums since introduction.
