M2 CS Cup
The BMW M2 CS Racing is a purpose-built customer racing car introduced as the entry-level model in BMW M Customer Racing's lineup, designed for various global racing series including SRO TC America TCX Class, VLN/NLS Endurance Championship at the Nürburgring, and numerous club racing championships. Built on the F87 M2 Competition platform, the CS Racing features the S55 3.0-liter twin-turbocharged inline-six engine with BMW M TwinPower Turbo technology producing between 280-365 horsepower in Cup specification (450 horsepower in Clubsport specification) with 550 Nm of torque. The engine is controlled via programmable power sticks that enable different output levels to match various series' Balance of Performance regulations.
The Cup variant comes race-ready with comprehensive safety and performance equipment including an FIA-certified welded roll cage, Sabelt Taurus racing seat, AIM MXG Racing Dash with color display, Merin FT3 safety fuel cell, air conditioning, air jack system, and Michelin 27/65-18 S9L slick tires on 10.5x18-inch BMW Design 513M wheels. The drivetrain features a 7-speed dual-clutch transmission with motorsport software calibration and a mechanical Drexler limited-slip differential with separate cooling. Weighing 1,625 kg, the M2 CS Racing includes race-specific ABS and DSC systems, an adjustable rear wing for optimal downforce, and a front splitter derived from the M2 CS road car. The Clubsport variant adds 450 hp output, larger brakes, upgraded cooling, and a Recaro P1300 GT seat. The M2 CS Racing offers an accessible pathway into professional-level racing with relatively low operating costs and strong support from BMW M Motorsport.
