Another first outing to a new track for me, this time at the Auto Club Speedway Roval in Fontana, CA. I was very nervous heading to this track at the sheer speed alone that I could potentially see going in and out of NASCAR 1 and 2. I practiced a bit on iRacing to get a crash course feel of how the track drives. Overall, it turned out to be a very fun day and the top speed of 121 MPH in my little S13 was super fun. I was able to secure the Nissan Challenge Class 4 record with a time of 2:02.318, half a second faster than the previous record held by Sandy Isaac in his gorgeous 240z.
The car handled beautifully thanks to my Annex Suspension Clubspec Pro coilovers. I felt stable on the banking and nimble through the infield. I really hope I can run this track once more, maybe with some more power, before it is demolished.
