This is the first time trying out the Ferrari 296 GTB at the track. The car was on Cup2 tires. Impressive showing from the 296 GTB where it posted a time 0.4 seconds faster than my 991 GT2RS on Cup2 before the MR conversion. With the power of the 296 GTB and weight, the tires were the weakest link. You can hear me feather that sensitive throttle at the edge of grip. You only have one lap before rear tires started overheating. I believe with an AF package on 296 GTB and Cup2Rs the record set by my Porsche GT2RS MR will be under threat. I believe a 2:05-2:06 is doable with better tires and a suspension setup. Impressive stuff Ferrari.
