The Jaguar XE SV Project 8 is an ultra-high-performance, limited-edition version of the Jaguar XE sedan, developed by Jaguar’s Special Vehicle Operations (SVO) division. Launched in 2018 with only 300 units produced worldwide, the Project 8 is one of the most extreme road-legal Jaguars ever made, designed for track performance while retaining some everyday usability.
Engine: The XE SV Project 8 is powered by a 5.0L supercharged V8 engine, producing 592 hp and 516 lb-ft of torque. This makes it the most powerful road-legal Jaguar ever produced, delivering a 0-60 mph time of just 3.3 seconds and a top speed of 200 mph.
All-Wheel Drive (AWD): Equipped with an AWD system, the Project 8 provides superior traction and stability, particularly beneficial for handling the high power output on track and in various road conditions.
Track-Focused Design: The Project 8 incorporates extensive aerodynamic enhancements, including a large front splitter, rear diffuser, and a manually adjustable carbon-fiber rear wing for increased downforce. Adjustable suspension and a track-focused setup further optimize handling and cornering performance.
Weight Reduction: Lightweight materials such as carbon-fiber panels, a titanium exhaust system, and optional carbon-ceramic brakes reduce weight, making the Project 8 agile and responsive. An optional Track Pack removes the rear seats, adding a roll cage and four-point racing harnesses, making it even lighter and more track-focused.
Limited Production and Exclusivity: With only 300 units handcrafted at Jaguar’s SVO Technical Center, the Project 8 was designed for exclusive ownership. Each car could be customized with a range of unique colors and liveries.
The Jaguar XE SV Project 8 holds the Nürburgring Nordschleife lap record for the fastest production four-door sedan, showcasing its extreme capabilities. It stands as a collectible piece of Jaguar engineering, blending luxury and brute power with a clear focus on track performance.
