Driveway Austin Motorsports Fiorano L1 Course Notas:
Driveway Austin Motorsports is a world-class racing facility carved in a narrow patch of woodland between the Colorado River and Walnut Creek, only six miles away from downtown Austin, Texas. The Raceway was designed and built by Bill Dollahite, a retired American professional racer who decided to combine a set of challenging corner replicas from European and American tracks to produce an exciting road course ideal for racing and high-performance racer training. Driveway Austin is open year-round, with weather conditions varying according to the season: mild winters, rainy springs, hot & dry summers, and temperate autumns.
Driveway Austin Motorsports consists of three different layouts that emphasize certain driving conditions inspired by the features of a particular road course that captivated the mind of Bill Dollahite. Loop number 1, L1, or Short Course, is a flat 0.7-mile (1.12 km/h) circuit inspired by the Fiorano road course in Italy and ideal for testing the dynamics of vehicles on flat surfaces. The Elevation Course L2 replicates some terrain characteristics of Laguna Seca, especially the Corkscrew, with exciting elevation changes and off-camber sections. Finally, the Grand Prix Course or L3 focuses on high-speed maneuvering in a landscape surrounded by high trees and stunning greeneries, feeling as they were riding through the Nurburgring in Germany.
