First time out at the Ridge Motorsports Park with Global Time Attack for Speed Summit and despite it being one of the most enjoyable events I can recall on one of the greatest West Coast circuits, my feelings about the results are mixed… Although this lap from Sunday morning was good enough for first place in unlimited class, I know that it’s pretty far off pace and not necessarily a performance I am proud of. If weather permitted the practice I needed Friday and Saturday, this lap might look a lot different but “what if’s” are futile. I think I did the best I could with the given conditions, but still expect a lot more out of myself. At least I now have footage and data to reference so I can come back next year with an advantage that wasn’t there this year.
All that being said, such an amazing event put on by GTA. Was awesome seeing old friends and making so many new ones. Special thanks to Jerick of JMP for getting the car ready beforehand and Oliver of Warhammer Motorsport for handling transport/race services.
