1999 BMW E36 M3 2580 lbs with fuel and driver. Stock S52, no aero, narrow body and 245/40/17 Hoosier A7 (2nd event). Managed to snag one more B2 class record before my departure to B1 for 23’. Tires were still in good shape after Sonoma so was able to get a pretty decent lap time despite making a couple of errors. Fastest lap of the day was my initial attempt. Had to go in to the first braking zone a little softly because the tires weren’t quite turned on yet but that gave me a strong exit so minimal time loss. Another half second lost in turns 4 and 5 due to over slowing on entry, leading me to prematurely get on throttle which put the car wide too quickly. This resulted in a shallow line through 5 and a nice code brown moment on exit. Outside of that, I’m pretty happy with the result and anytime I drive at Chuckwalla it’s a nice reminder on why it’s my favorite track in SoCal. Was awesome seeing everyone out for Bimmer Challenge and excited to finish out the year at CW13 next month.
