Project Supra Phase 1 shakedown success. Spent the weekend with OnGrid track at Ridge Motorsports Park. Saturday hovered around 40F with a mix of sprinkles, downpours, and hail. Car ran great and I kept it on the track. Sunday was OnGrid PNW Shootout time attack competition. First session was just above freezing with a damp track and light rain. Heavy rain was predicted the rest of the day so fast times would be decided in the first session. After the leading car had a splitter failure and pulled off, I had a wide open track until the final lap. Slowly added pace each lap as the tires got a little warmer and finished in 2nd place. The lack of grip leveled the field quite a bit but 1st place took the win by a wide margin. The rains came and the second session was standing water and hydroplaning above 80 mph. Everything worked. Next up is adding some power and more track time to dial in the set up. Details on the Supra build in blog post linked below.
