Hey all! Join Denny Stripling as he pilots the Fast Track Racing BMW G82 M4 GT4 (that's a mouthful) around Eagles Canyon Raceway northwest of Dallas, Texas. The car was tuned down to an estimated 360 WHP and was around 3600 pounds with driver.
ECR is the best "club track" in the country, in my opinion. It has an amazing mix of corners, is very technical, and takes some laps to become proficient at. This video should show you most of the tips and tricks so that you'll be ahead of the game ;).
The G82 M4 GT4 was incredible. Non-boosted motorsport ABS meant I was using 1000 psi of braking pressure... close to as hard as I could push the brake pedal. I was on the Michelin Pilot Slicks that IMSA uses and they were solid. This set was well-used and we estimated 3-5 laps until they corded on the outside of the fronts. The car wasn't set up to optimize this track (I suspect a bit more camber would have helped a fair amount with the understeer) but this was still a pretty quick lap overall, especially for my first time driving this platform.
Enjoy, and feel free to hit me up for coaching if you want go faster or race better!
