Driver's Notes:

This was day 1 of a weekend at CVR with Clubracer events. The first day was in CCW configuration, and I had planned to take it easy going CCW because I wanted to focus on CW. I was also on a brand new set of Bridgestone RE71RS 295/35/18's, which I still had to scrub. I've never run these tires before, so I was very cautious with how I treated them. What you're seeing is a pretty low-effort 1:56.xx. I'm certain I could've gone quicker, but I was focusing on learning the tire and also trying to undo some of my bad habits such as my overly quick hands. My friend and professional racing coach Andrew Chinnici had me focus on "pulling" vs "pushing" the wheel. A concept that was so foreign to me, but helped me out immensely. Basically, with softer hands and using the correct arm to steer, it let me calm my motions down and control the weight transfer of the car much better!
