The Pueblo Motorsports Park is a racing complex located in the outskirts of Pueblo, on a two hours ride south of Denver, Colorado. The Motorsports Park includes a 10-turn, 2.2-mile (3.54-km) road course, a drag strip, an off-road track, a racing oval, a BMX facility, and a motocross track, all open to the public and club events. Several racing organizations like the SCCA, NASA, NHRA, and others host regular competitions in the facilities. The city of Pueblo elevation is 4691.6 feet (1430 meters) above sea level, so the average temperature tends to be around 52 degrees Fahrenheit (11 degrees Celsius), with snowy winters and sunny summers.
The start/finish line at the Pueblo Motorsports Park road course sits in the middle of the main straightaway, located on top of the park's drag strip. The sector between turns one to seven is technical and demanding since drivers need to maneuver through corners of varying angles and considerable elevation changes. The turns eight, nine, and ten look like a semi rectangle with two 90-degree corners and slight kinks in the trajectory. The average lap time in the road course is 1:45.5, with an average speed of 75 mph (120 km/h).
