This was a highlight of the 2023 campaign. After a number of setbacks, we executed a comeback and finished P1/P1 on the day! We also set a new best lap time at Hallet of 1:18.9 on the 2nd flying lap.

After all the difficulties and the disappointment of missing Road Atlanta, we were able to get the normal tires back on the car at Eagles Canyon and recalibrate ourselves a bit, but we didn't show our maximum pace due to the heat and issues with getting the car cool. We also still had another nagging issue we were able to resolve before the morning session at Hallet - we had developed a suspension clunk over time and were able to diagnose it and MPP got a part to the track which was installed, and all seemed good again.

The track was good by the afternoon sessions, so the target was to optimize the driving just a bit better than the morning so that we didn't end up on the last couple straights with the pack too hot. The driving was solid, the optimization better, and we ended up over a second clear of 2nd place!

Result for this session - 1st overall! - which was a bit of a surprise given the amount of lift/coast we have to do to optimize, but it all worked out great.

A couple notes from this session:

#1 The data displayed is from the Motec - however we didn't have GPS data working so we didn't get lap timing from it.

#2 This track requires a bit of finesse to balance the power with the speed - we drive for time overall, not for the best lap.
