The BMW M4 GT3 is a high-performance racing car developed by BMW Motorsport to compete in global GT3-class racing. Introduced in 2021 as a successor to the M6 GT3, the M4 GT3 is based on the BMW M4 production car but extensively modified for track use.
It features a 3.0-liter twin-turbocharged inline-six engine (P58) derived from the S58 engine in the road car, delivering up to 590 hp depending on race regulations. The car has a lightweight construction, advanced aerodynamics, and a rear-wheel-drive layout, with a FIA-approved safety cage and racing components such as a sequential racing gearbox, motorsport suspension, and specialized braking systems.
The M4 GT3 is designed to offer enhanced performance, improved reliability, and better drivability compared to its predecessor, making it suitable for both professional and amateur drivers. It is a staple in endurance races, such as the Nürburgring 24 Hours and the IMSA WeatherTech SportsCar Championship.
