Going to this track in december has become a tradition as this is the third time in a row. Aim was to beat previous time of 3.15 mins but due to the damp conditions only managed a 3.19 mins.
The Yokohama ad09 (semi slick) have good grip when warmed up, but on the day with cold weather and damp was hard to keep the rear in check in corners so overall speed was down. Even though the previous tyres, the continental contact sport 7 did not have the same level of grip it probably would of done better in these conditions over semi slicks.
I find the powerflex black front bushes and the chassis braces helped with stability, predictability and feel through steering but again couldn't use it to its fullest. Just didnt have enough confidence with the grip, which lead to a spin on the last corner before the line.
Overall there was a good group of people got to meet, cool cars and learned to use another driving line in wet conditions. Will try again in the summer aiming for the 3 min mark.
Used a audio recorder long with lav mic in the engine and another mike for the exhaust. may upgrade to better mics that can capture the bass sounds more in future.
