What a car! driving rotary need alot of adjustment in driving… almost no engine brake, so you NEED to pay attention on the downshifting making sure you select the right gear with the right rpm… slipper clutch will make the car downshift better and less dangerous…
that is probably the most daunting part of pushing Rotary powered car on the limit…
i add the link to my old video time testing stock rx8 as comparison to the modded one: https://youtu.be/PWxOTWxPv1c
other than that, the beautiful 9000rpm rev, the chassis balance, the steering feedback (even with bump steer due to the front being too low), the wider powerband thanks to the tune, i cannot believe this car priced on the lower market… it felt like a much much more expensive sports car!! brilliant!
it makes me want to push more and more! until i got bitten on turn 3 when i tried to counter steer and the front left tyre hit the fender and “braking” itself and causing additional pivot on that particular tyre and made me loose control… i put the car into gravel. 🙈 my first gravel in 4 years. i was over confident and believed the car can go faster and pay for the price… Sorry bro Lukman 🙏 luckily no damage on the car and we are able to do the hot lap after…
