With 40 laps concentrated in single vehicle across three different configurations, cdrptrks exemplifies the ultimate specialist philosophy: achieving profound platform mastery through systematic repetition enabling expertise impossible through casual variety.
Sunday 5/21/2023 AutoInterests final (combined) session.
All weekend I felt like I was fighting the car through the middle section of this track (turns 8-14) or going too slow through that section and I'm not sure why. I was getting a lot more oversteer through there than usual both on entries and exits. Maybe it was because the edges of my tires were heavily worn and starting to cord during this session. The sunny weather and increasing ambient/track temperature throughout the day (plus heavy traffic in the shortened first morning session when conditions were best) didn't help either. Maybe the middle section of this track is better suited to lighter cars or heavy cars with stickier tires or maybe I just needed to use a different driving technique. Maybe I would have figured it out with more video/data review and another day at this track but I'm not sure.
The car definitely could have done a lap in the 1:59s during this session but I didn't manage to put the lap together for various reasons. The best reference lap I found beforehand for this track was a 1:56 with better driving: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qhgABecluxs
My first weekend driving at PittRace. Unfortunately it rained all morning on Saturday so I had less time than I would have liked to build up pace at this track.
