Might as well be racing on the sun

If breakin' parts is cool, consider me Miles Davis.

First time back since the re-surface, first time there with the Albuquerque Stripper, second ever time at Chuckwalla Valley Raceway. There were 11 heat cycles on the Yokohama Advan A052 by this point, grip was slightly falling, and the track was warming up by the end of the day, as evidenced by everybody else's times increasing. I pulled out 1:58.7, which given the tires, no front aero, and driving straight into the sun, is a good start for this 2018 Ford Mustang GT.

Spent the morning playing with the brakes, and got a late start, but for the first ever time I've owned a s550 Mustang, I've been able to stop, and boy does it stop now that I've completed the Performance Pack brake upgrade. Looking at the lines though, I missed a bunch of apexes, partially because I just don't have all the faith in the braking system. There's always always room for improvement, as the Track Addict app says that if I did all my best sectors, I could sneak a high 1:56 if I clean up all those apexes that I was missing.

Great day on the track, all of my friends and I pulled out Personal Bests, so it was a great day with a nice temperature, not too much wind, and a whole lot of fun. Apologies for the video quality -- As the 4:30pm sun was right on the horizon, I thought it'd be better to use the higher up footwork cam.
