1999 BMW E36 M3 with S54 (328 whp SAE5) at 2525 lbs with fuel and driver. 245/40/17 Hoosier A7 (2nd event). First time visiting Spring Mountain Motorsports and it was exquisite! Not only an amazing facility but the Charleston Peak track was way too fun. Grabbed the Bimmer Challenge record but overall unsatisfied with my performance. This messy lap was mid-day Saturday in the blazing heat with a tank full of fuel on scrubs. So, when I threw on stickers for Sunday morning with less fuel and colder ambient temps only to go slower, I was disappointed to say the least. When it came time to boogie, I just didn’t have the juice. Sunday should have been an 18 if not a 17. Either way, had such an amazing time playing on a new track and can’t wait for my next visit to Spring Mountain. Don’t think I’ll be back in the car until Global Time Attack at Ridge Motorsports Park in a couple months but counting down the days for that.
