Stradman is an amateur racing driver with 21 laps across 8 vehicles, averaging 2.6 laps per car. The username references TheStradman (James Lucas Condon)—automotive YouTuber with 4.5 million subscribers known for supercar content, particularly Lamborghini. The name derives from his dream car, Ferrari 360 Stradale. Remarkably, testing includes 5 laps at BTG (Nürburgring Nordschleife) and 3 laps GP circuit across 8 different vehicles—pattern consistent with supercar YouTuber documenting exotic car experiences at legendary circuits for content creation while building genuine driving skills.
So first time at full GP circuit with Viper. As only limited number of track days there with no noise limit(1 a year or so) here I am again from last year when I was there but it was the National circuit. A couple of hairpins towards the end make it a bit trickier to negotiate a manual, 3 pedal car, particularly with the somewhat balky heavy gearbox the ACR has.. 😂
Quite a busy morning with a number of red flags meant not easy to get a good lap. In the afternoon between 2 and 3:30(when it started to rain) there were however a couple of opportunities to properly gun it.
My optimal lap was 1:35.4 and I can see where I could gain time using those opportunities into my ultimate hot lap, but I also think that pushing a couple more of the corners with a bit more speed could bring me down another second or so.Not bad for a manual big American car that I then jumped back into and drove back home to London in! Not many cars you can do that with!!
Car was on used slicks having been used 2 days in the past so last day of use. I binned them after this track day. New slicks would also have added another second or so, so I reckon under perfect conditions I could dip into the 1:32's. Having said that I'd like to see how the OEM Kumho road tyres fair here too. I suspect that they won't be that far off the slick. Only problem is that they wouldn't last the day!😒😂 Well maybe next year!!
