The Circuit de Chambley is a 2.05-mile (3.3-km) race track in France's northeastern region of Lorraine, near the German, Belgian, and Luxembourgish borders. The road course was born in 2009 and since then has received homologation to host racing competitions for both racecars and motorcycles. The landscaping and greeneries around the track are impeccable, positively favored by the consistent rainfall in the region during the whole year, even on the driest months. There are 17 corners in the Circuit de Chambley, whose layout resembles an elegant garden when seen from above.
The Circuit de Chambley has a challenging trajectory where racers need to focus more on controlling their vehicles than developing high speed. There are constant changes of direction and corner with different angles coming one after the other, with several heavy braking sectors keeping velocity down. The average lap time is almost two minutes (1:58.3), for an average speed of 62 mph (99 km/h). Riding the Circuit de Chambley is very safe, as there are ample runoffs and no metal or concrete barriers creating crashing hazards on the corners.
