So...I had a new personal best at HPR this weekend with a 2:08.222. In a genius move, I turned the camera off for that lap so this is my next best lap that I have video of which is a 2:08.377. This lap was on 215/45-17 RE71RS tires and the .222 lap was on 225/45-17 RE71RS tires. The extra width made for more lateral and braking Gs and a fast lap with less effort. On this lap on the narrower tires, I've really got to get the lines perfect and have to lift if I don't to stay on track in high speed turns like 3, 7, and 10, The 225s are taller and affect gearing a bit but I think the extra grip makes up for it.
