Taking inspiration from @stevencase243 I’ve been experimenting with higher treadwear(less grip) tires to explore slip angle and get more comfortable at the limit. Progressed from Cup 2s (180 TW) → Super 200s (Nankang CRS-V2, RE71RS) → Supercar 3s (220 TW).
Today I ran the OE GT4 wheels with Goodyear F1 SuperSports (240 TW). While turn-in felt vague in T1 and T3, I actually liked the added play at lower speeds.
Also scored a great deal on a Garmin Catalyst package on eBay—used it for the first time and was really impressed. Took advantage of the Opportunity Review feature to pick a different focus for each session.
Was almost able to get to the Supercar 3's G numbers with this tire, but 2 seconds off my normal lap time. This lap was not the best time of the day but it's the best of the last session after I had integrated a few things from the Garmin feedback.
