This is the sixth episode of the series, where I see how racing simulators translate to the real deal in my F80 M3. This time at the super iconic Raceway Laguna Seca.

Most people who play any racing games or sims have driven on laguna seca. Ive been playing this track my entire life and this was going to be one of the best places to really see how games compare. My first few sessions of the day had pretty wet conditions but by session 5 it had dried up pretty well. Aside from turn 3.

Track felt so much easier to drive in real life versus assetto corsa or even iracing. The M4 in corsa is too twitchy in lower gears. Ended up only a few seconds off my average sim pace. Pretty sure i could get it down to 1:40 when i go for a second time and have more confidence in dry grip.

There is something about the elevation that isn't captured right in any of the virtual representations. It made me think about the track in an entire new way. I now see the game level in a different way and approach some of the corners differently. Pretty interesting to have real life experience translate into sim racing. Usually it is the other way around for me.
