Here's a 2:15 lap from my 4th session ever on this course. This was 2022 SCCA TTNT at Eagles Canyon Raceway in Decatur, TX. I got one more dry session the following day and went 2:13.53 after finding a little more confidence in T6/7. Overall quite happy with how the car performed, and really enjoyed ECR. On the surface it looks like a very straight forward course with lots of well defined mid corner apexes and tons of elevation change, but its challenging with respect to how sections flow into the multiple straights, meaning there are many opportunities to find (or lose) speed compared to other less involved courses. Also the elevation change means several off camber corners, blind uphill apexes, and one downhill braking zone. Frankly I love tracks like this because its extremely safe, IE - it does not punish mistakes or discourage the building of confidence in the fast corners, allowing newbies to have fun while learning the course, carrying more speed through corners, and adjusting turn in points without the fear that one wrong move could cost you your car. While not as thrilling as Grattan, NCM or Road Atlanta among others, if I were more local this would probably be go-to track.
