Kaiser KR20a

The Kenda Kaiser KR20A is a semi-slick high-performance summer tire designed for track driving, drift applications, and aggressive street use, representing Kenda's entry into the competitive track day and motorsport tire market. This DOT-approved tire incorporates racing construction offering precise control and predictable grip characteristics, with new casing designs and profiles specifically engineered to enhance dry performance for competitive driving. The Kaiser KR20A features a symmetrical directional tread pattern with excellent drainage capability utilizing long-branched V-shaped grooves, combined with two longitudinal circumferential grooves that channel water away from the tire's footprint to eliminate hydroplaning risks during wet conditions. The tire carries W speed ratings indicating capabilities up to 168 mph under controlled conditions, with temperature requirements specifying ideal use when temperatures consistently remain above 45 degrees Fahrenheit.

The Kenda Kaiser KR20A is available in two distinct performance variants addressing different user priorities: the Max Performance version delivers exceptional grip in both dry and wet conditions while accepting lower tread life, while the Ultra High Performance (UHP) variant offers aggressive appearance and competitive performance with significantly extended tread life compared to the Max specification. Available in sizes ranging from 195/55ZR15 through 265/35ZR18 and larger configurations, the Kaiser KR20A targets sports car and performance vehicle owners seeking track-capable performance at budget-friendly price points. The semi-slick design provides near-racing tire grip levels while maintaining sufficient tread pattern for DOT certification and reasonable wet weather capability, making it popular among grassroots racers, drift competitors, and track day enthusiasts who demand serious performance without premium tire budgets. The tire serves drivers seeking maximum dry grip for competitive events while accepting that the performance-oriented compound formulations will result in accelerated wear compared to standard street performance alternatives, with the semi-slick configuration delivering grip approaching full racing slicks while maintaining basic wet weather and street legality.
