Goodyear Proving Ground-Mireval
Goodyear Proving Ground-Mireval Примечания:
Goodyear Proving Ground-Mireval is a tire testing facility located near Montpellier in southern France. The facility was originally built in 1972 as a motor racing circuit before being purchased by Goodyear in 1984 as part of their global network of testing and proving grounds. The site covers 500 acres and is strategically located to take advantage of the high ambient temperatures available in southern France, providing testing conditions that were not available at Goodyear's other European facilities at the time of its acquisition.
The facility features two main test tracks: a 3.3-kilometer (2.1-mile) track and a 2.2-kilometer (1.3-mile) track, both with various gradients and corners designed specifically for car, light truck, and heavy truck tire testing. The Mireval proving ground plays an important role in Goodyear's European tire development and validation processes, offering high-speed testing capabilities in relatively warm conditions ideal for tire performance evaluation and durability testing across multiple vehicle categories.
