I came into todays track day with a number of things I wanted to work on:
* Better Line through 8 to 9 so I can get on throttle earlier and more full throttle
* Carry more speed through Turn 1
* Get better at the double-apex line in 2
* Brake later into 3a and carry more speed into the turn
* Carry more speed through 5b/6
* Faster through 7

Previous to today my fastest time at Pacific was 1:29.91. So with my plan in place I was able to knock off 2+ seconds of lap time working on those specific things. I managed my fastest lap time in the last session before lunch. Which is usually too late to get a fastest time. On a sunny hot day like today you fastest lap time of the day will most likely happen in your second session when thing are still cool. You can even see in this lap I lifted before start/finish because I'm coming up on slower cars. Not a good idea to go tearing around turn 1 at 150+ and ride up on somebody else. After lunch it was mid 1:28s as the best I could get with the track slowing down significantly.

Anyway, super happy with the day. Made good progress again on really understanding how to make the car go fast. I can see how at least at Pacific I'm starting to get closer to a good lap time for the car. So doubtful I'll be knocking off seconds in my next day there.

Tomorrow it's off to the Ridge!

Note: My car is a stock 991.2 GT3 RS on Pilot Sport Cup 2s
