The contact at Laguna last race prepared me for this. I almost get taken out at on turn in at turn 8 on lap 3 and used every last drop of skill and sheer will to keep the car pointed in the right direction. After a quick thought of "Who the f-- hit me?!", I forget about it and shifted my focus back to the task at hand.
Later on, my engine, again, started to overheat. That didn't stop me from putting up a personal best lap time of 1:55:860 on lap 7 though. The ESI cars have real strong motors which made it difficult to get a run coming out of 6, 10, and 11. Looking at my video, I see what I could have done differently for next time to make better attempts at an overtake.
I'm happy with the result. I didn't let the red mist win this time :)
I reported the contact as the flaggers didn't catch it. The driver was penalized for the contact from what I'm told, among other things.
