The Miata lives again! Now with wing and splitter goodness. Low-res because my phone is dying. Tires were 2015 Maxxis RC-1s with plenty of heat cycles. I've driven this car now for about 20 minutes total, so I think there's probably a good two seconds in my driving and probably about that again switching to my usual used Hoosiers. So I'll be super excited to see if I can lay down a 1:20.xx in this car!
Fluids look good, oil pressure looks good, and water temp rides the thermostat temperature with comfortable ambient temperature. She's still slow in a straight line compared to the M3, but with a little time re-learning how to drive it and some fresher tires she'll be handily faster. This should also answer the question - is it faster to put aero on a slow car? Yes, yes it is. This combo actually makes a little less drag than stock, not more.
