cdrptrks is an amateur racing driver with 40 recorded laps in a single vehicle on LapMeta—extraordinary concentration representing absolute commitment to mastering one platform. This exceptional focus demonstrates purist specialist philosophy prioritizing profound depth over any variety, choosing complete expertise with select machinery rather than sampling. Forty laps in one car develops intimate knowledge exceeding what most drivers achieve with entire fleets, revealing every nuance through relentless dedicated repetition.
His LapMeta data shows systematic exploration: 5 laps at CW configuration, 5 laps at North Track-CW, and 4 laps at Full Course. This balanced distribution demonstrates how one platform responds to varied track demands—from technical CW layouts to North Track configurations to Full Course challenges. The methodology builds comprehensive vehicle expertise transcending single venue familiarity, understanding platform behavior across complete capability spectrum. Single-vehicle specialists often develop mastery enabling lap times rivaling professional drivers through intimate knowledge of every characteristic, optimal technique for every condition, and absolute confidence extracting maximum performance. With 40 laps concentrated in single vehicle across three different configurations, cdrptrks exemplifies the ultimate specialist philosophy: achieving profound platform mastery through systematic repetition enabling expertise impossible through casual variety.
After reviewing data in Cosworth Toolbox, I found that turning in to turn 8 from the middle of the track (instead of hugging the inside curbing like I did here) was 2-3 tenths faster. Track map: https://chintrackdays.com/images/MSR-Cresson-3.1.png
Last Session of the member day around 4:35pm. Thanks to my friend for inviting me as his guest. My 3rd day driving MSRC 3.1 CCW; a little over 1 year after my last visit. It looks like there is more time in it from watching the traction circle graph but I'm happy with this as it was a significant improvement of my previous PB of 2:28. I was told that another stock SS 1LE on stock tires (with track alignment) did a 2:22 lap just 2 days after my visit! His was earlier in the day when it was cooler.
I was improving on my PB by 0.57 seconds (2.25.23 pace) in this video later in the same session until I went slower through turns 9 and 11: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pcZtWvWbz9Y
2017 Camaro SS 1LE. Unmodified engine with traction/stability control fully disabled, stock Goodyear Supercar 3 (220 treadwear) tires, track alignment with strut mod for some extra front camber (camber: -2.8° front, -1.6° rear, toe: 0° front, -0.05° rear per side [-0.10° total rear toe]), BMR BK063 Rear Diff Cradle Bushing Lockout Kit, FEA front lower front control arms from ZL1 1LE (since stock fluid filled bushings leaked), 2021 SS 1LE ABS control module (EBCM) to get better ice mode calibration (found on 2019+ SS 1LEs) which prevents intermittent hard brake pedal and reduced stopping force in bumpy braking zones (probably didn't make a difference this direction at MSRH), Castrol SRF DOT 4 brake fluid, stock Brembo (Ferodo HP1000/1) brake pads, GM plastic track brake cooling deflectors, smaller GM metal brake dust / splash shields. The car is in track mode with touring steering mode and track exhaust mode. Wind 16mph from SSE. Weather was sunny. Ambient temperature was 63°F with 28% humidity.
