Sonny Watanasirisuk is an amateur racing driver with 22 laps across 16 vehicles, averaging 1.4 laps per car. However, this classification understates his professional credentials—Watanasirisuk is a 4-time national champion driver, race instructor, endurance racer, and Miata specialist who worked at both 949 Racing and Exotics Racing. He competed in the 25 Hours of Thunderhill and 86 Challenge series (2019-2024), offering professional driver coaching through SonnyMod. The broad 16-vehicle sampling reflects his instructor role at Exotics Racing helping customers drive Ferraris, Lamborghinis and exotic cars, combining competitive racing background with professional coaching expertise.
First-time competitor at this event. I went in this competition knowing I have bought a knife to a gun fight, and my only goal was to have fun and do my best.

As day 1 closed, I had exceeded my own expectations. I held P3 mid-day and on day 2 I was in a 5-way fight for P3. This was something I never expected, to be less than 0.2 seconds away from P3 and 0.6 seconds away from P2 in a nearly stock car against the likes of Porsche GT3s, a Dodge Viper ACR, and well-developed BMWs and S2000s. I desperately tried to close the gap but fell short, spinning off the track in my last session. At least I feel good that I gave it my all and didn't leave anything off the table.
I have to thank Emilio Cervantes for this opportunity in my debut for SLB, as well as trusting me with his own personal car and letting me explore the limits of this new and exciting platform. And thank you John Wing for being the superstar miracle worker for prepping the GT350 and two other cars in about than a week for this event.
