New year, new stuff!

After running the previous tires (Pilot Sport 4S), into the ground, starting off this year with a bit of a step up! First time I take out these Yokohama Advan Neova AD09 out on track. Slight bump up in grip performance, but the biggest difference comes from the new brake pads. Brand new brake parts all around, 4 new rotors and Ferodo DS2500 on all 4 corners. What a difference... need to get used to new braking points because they're at least 50% better so I was braking way too early everywhere. Not only that, I never got a hint of brake fade or overheating in 2 sessions. Mystery solved - it wasn't the fluid, the stock pads are just not that good for track use.

Also testing just using the built in camera setup on Harry's Laptimer app with some nice overlays, all that coming from my iPhone 15 Pro. Will need to adjust the setup a bit next time to get the mount off the frame and get camera to focus on the track instead of interior.

All in all had a great time at this mid-winter track day, getting my fastest lap on this track so far even with a passenger.
