Having visited the Nordschleife on a few occasions now, we decided in 2012 to try out a private track day rather than the usual Touristenfahrten. This video was taken during that track day, on the 8th October 2012. This lap was filmed fairly early in the day, just before 10am and my nephew, Conor, was in the passenger seat. The video starts just as I am coming into Galgenkopf, the corner before the long run down Dottinger Hohe (where I hit 144mph, according to the GPS). The (BTG) lap time was 9m 22.12seconds, which I was happy with considering the car is still running standard power and I was running on road tyres. The only changes of note to the car since my video from 2011 are a Gizzmo dual stage shift light and a change of tyre manufacturer (from Falken FK-452 to Goodyear Eagle F1 Asymmetric 2). The audio on the video is still not great but I am hoping to improve that having bought a different casing for my GoPro camera for the next visit ...
