And finally, here it is. Just in time before 8/6 day, here's the Fast Lap Under 9' at the Nürburgring Nordschleife, and the last video of this year's trip (22.07.2016).

I am very sad to tell you that the full lap wasn't recorded, as I ran out of battery near the end of it. Fortunately, Harry's Laptimer registered the lap. I'm happy to share the telemetry files with anyone who asks for it.

In order to not have to the lap's footage cut, I edited and pasted footage from the previous lap, after the fast lap footage finished.

It happened around the Pflanzgarten area. It's quite seamless unless you look at the numbers on the phone. To make sure if you're watching the previous lap or not, just look for a red dot on the full track laptimer. If you can see it, you're watching the previous lap's footage.

As much as this year I lowered the expected laptime by 7 seconds, instead of a single one, as in 2014, this challenge was much, much more difficult from the beginning than the last time. 

From the moment I decided to build an engine with zero experience and a serious lack of engine-build knowledge, it was a real challenge to complete it all in time. And even now I'm still not fully satisfied with it. I really need to do some fine tuning, as I know there's more HP to get from it.

Then, we had all the economic/time/sorting the car out issues throughout this year, from the challenge itself of building the engine on time, to the last day after SPA, preparing the car before the Nurburgring trackday and up to the moment my seat broke completely. I don't want to sound overdramatic, but the driving was quite easy in comparison to all the struggles we went throughout this year of preparation. 

It was a real nightmare at times, but if it wasn't for all the amazing help and support I had from my sponsors:
