This is my second time at Summit Point Main in my SS 1LE. Mods are Chevy track alignment and high temp brake fluid, all else stock. Cold and windy with 32 to 41 deg temps. OEM Goodyears are very sketchy in these temps and required ~5 laps to warm up and build pressure. The best lap for the day was a 1:22.25. Due to cold temps, I ran PTM Sport 1-2. I’m certain with PTM in Race mode a 1:21 lap would have been possible. Jump to lap 13 @ min (17:40) for the start of best lap. Notice how much distance the yellow and black C6 Z06 opens up on every straight. And how I am able to close the gap under braking. Z06 is on better tires (lower treadwear rating) and weighs significantly less with more HP than my 455HP. Fun day in spite of the cold and windy conditions.
