This is my personal best lap at Hallett; not bad for my first weekend at this track. I moved the start/finish line in Cosworth toolbox to get around completely missing the apex of turn 9 on my best lap of the weekend. Here is that 1:26.41 lap with the mistake (same as this lap except for turns 8-10):

I was on stock Goodyear Supercar 3 (220 treadwear) tires.

Car is modified with BBK cold air intake, 95mm throttle body, GPI ported LT2 intake manifold (from C8 Corvette), WildHammer flex fuel sensor kit, & flex fuel tune with these remaining stock: engine internals, headers, cats, & exhaust. Ethanol content was 76.5% for this session.

2nd session on Sunday morning 6/8/2025 at NASA's annual Hallett event and it was already up to about 85°F! I didn't manage to improve in the 3rd/final CCW session, probably because of ambient and track temperatures increasing with the day's high being about 93°F.

I went about 2 tenths faster through turn 9 and the following straightaway compared to this lap in the 1st Sunday session on an otherwise slower lap:

The Garmin Catalyst I borrowed for the weekend had my optimal lap time as 1:25.30 after the 3rd/final CCW session on Sunday.

There is still some room for improvement by braking a little later and harder in some places and better using the available grip of the tires in some corners (see the traction circle in the lower left corner).

I was using PTM Sport 2 because it had rained on Friday and Saturday morning so the grass was reportedly quite wet/muddy with a high chance of hitting the tire barriers and/or getting stuck in the mud if you went off. I didn't have confidence on corner exit in turns 6 & 9 (I think their exits are off camber) and PTM was probably helping me put the maximum possible power down there without getting too sideways.

The track was just repaved a few months ago. According to others who drove it before the repave, lap times were about the same before and after the repave.

2017 Camaro SS 1LE. Estimated around 450whp with E85 but I haven't dynoed it yet. BBK CAI, 95mm TB, GPI ported LT2 intake, WildHammer flex fuel sensor kit, & flex fuel tune. Engine internals, headers, cats, & exhaust are all stock. Ethanol content was 76.5% for this session. Used PTM Sport 2 for this lap, 2021 & 2022 date code takeoff Goodyear Supercar 3 (220 treadwear) tires about halfway worn, track alignment (camber: -2.8° front, -2.1° rear, toe: 0mm front, +2.2mm rear each side), SPL Rear Toe Links with Eccentric Lockout, BMR BK063 Rear Diff Cradle Bushing Lockout Kit, FEA front lower front control arms from ZL1 1LE (since stock fluid filled bushings leaked), 2021 SS 1LE ABS control module (EBCM) to get better ice mode calibration (found on 2019+ SS 1LEs) which prevents intermittent hard brake pedal and reduced stopping force in bumpy braking zones (probably made no difference at this track), Castrol SRF DOT 4 brake fluid, stock Brembo (Ferodo HP1000/1) brake pads, GM plastic track brake cooling deflectors, smaller GM metal brake dust / splash shields, Ikon Motorsports 2019+ stock style 3 piece front splitter. The car was in track mode with touring steering mode and track exhaust mode. Ambient temperature was about 85°F, about 65% humidity. 10mph wind from S.
