Here's a rusty lap around Putnam Park in my new-to-me C8 Corvette. My learning curve with this totally new platform was steep, but it was a fun challenge. The amount of commitment and finesse it takes to whip a lap out of this car took some getting used to! As you can see, I was avoiding curbs and leaving a decent margin as I came to grips with how the car reacts at the limit.
This 1:12.7 is by no means impressive, but if nothing else at least it's entertaining!? And still faster than I was ever able to run in my Miata, despite being a full-blown street car with all of the amenities and running on full-treaded street tires.
I've got some work to dial-in the balance to my liking, but it's a great place to start.
The car is modified with MCS two-way coilovers with a custom WF spring rate prescription, with a WF-spec alignment. 265/295 Yokohama A052 tires on Apex VS5-RS wheels, over AP Pro 5000 brakes and Ferodo DS1.11 pads. The noise comes via a Paragon Performance Track exhaust. The Aim Solo mount is a prototype in its final testing/development stages and will be available shortly. The car has completely stock aero, including the "low wing".
