Latest PB and F87 chassis record (for now) from AXON x Speedy Goat track day @ Vancouver Island Motorsport Circuit, with a new time of 1:20.44!

I would be lying if I said this new personal record wasn't just a little bit more special than the others, particularly because VIMC was where I had my very first proper track experience with the M2C. So to bring it back full circle and end the 2023 track season here where it started back in 2021, is very much gratifying and fulfilling—especially with taking home the current F87 chassis record. Weather was predicted to be in the 30 degrees celcius, so optimal conditions were going to be in the morning sessions. This PB was set on my very first session on the fourth lap, as I alternated between one hot lap and one cool down lap to conserve my consumables (limted tires and brakes). I had to work with traffic for the first few laps until I finally caught a window of open track. Feeling that I had properly warmed up and was ready to push for a time, I went on to best my previous 2022 season time of 1:23.84 by more than 3 seconds. Would I say I have really mastered the track after 5 visits? Far from it. I can see that there are still many areas that I am holding back on, or just not realising how to fully utilise them in my favour. I am keen to return next season with more info and more help from all of those around me. 

Revisions have been made to the M2C since last year. It is now running more aggressive aero front and rear, Nitron R1 Coilovers, Bridgestone RE71RS and camber plates with custom alignment specs (-3.3 front/-2.3 rear, toe 0.0 front, toe-in 0.15 rear, caster OEM). With the increase in overall speed all throughout the track, new brakes will be required next time as this is now the weakest link. Special thanks to OVERDRIVE Auto Tuning team for all the help throughout this season.
