Stefano Pezzucchi is an Italian racing driver, known for his performances in GT and endurance racing. He has competed in several prestigious events, showcasing his skill and determination. Pezzucchi has built a reputation for his technical driving and consistency across various motorsport disciplines.

Jump on board the Mercedes-AMG GT R of Krypton Motorsport for a fast lap around Mugello Circuit during the first round of the 2023 Time Attack Italia series. The GT R was driven by Stefano Pezzucchi, race driver and Krypton team principal, with which he managed to set a new record lap for production cars fitted with road-legal tyres. Stefano was still the previous record holder set with his ultraviolet Porsche 991 GT3 RS (of which I already produced some videos in the past).
This Mercedes is fitted with Michelin Pilot Sport Cup 2 R tires, AP Racing brakes and an aggressive carbon fiber kit by TIKT Performance.
The on board footage is from the final Superlap session of the day. On his second timed attempt Stefano was improving his lap by 3 tenths before Casanova-Savelli (T6 and T7) but after that corners he felt a drop in tires performance, continuing to lose time until Turn 12. He then decided to abort the lap. Instead most of the external scenes are from the qualifying and practice sessions of the day.
