Walked away from Roebling this weekend with nothing but great things to say about the Veloster N. The car is fast, fun, and seems to be very reliable so far on track. I went back out this morning and managed a 1:21.7, however Grip levels were way down as i did not rotate the tires and the front driver side tire is nearly corded on the outer lip at this point. I was driving the car much harder in this video, but if it had the grip that it had the previous day I would bet on it getting in the 1:20's for sure.

The car has ZERO mods other than a set of Konig Ampliforms and RT660's. I think that this car would still likely be nearly this fast on the OEM tire setup though.

Between my wife and I we did roughly 30-40 hot pretty hot laps on the car and had zero issues with any temperatures from the Oil, Coolant, or Brakes. These cars come with performance brake fluid so i didnt worry to change it.

This car is a very very good street car, and apparently a pretty good track car as well. The only complaint that I have so far about the car is the lack of front camber or camber adjustment. I would estimate that the car only has maybe a half degree of camber as it sits. The DSG model runs around an extra degree of negative camber from stock, and its rumored that its either just a different PN for the upper strut mounts or the knuckle. Once Hyundai opens up the 2021 parts catalog online for the DCT cars I will definitely be digging into this.

As far as driving goes, Ive owned a ton of cars and pretty much any performance car in the 50-60k range and under. I would say that this car is a blend of an FK8 and a Focus ST. Its not quite as sharp as the FK8, but it feels like it claws out of the corners just as hard. The car is still a blast to flip around and will easily rotate the rear like a Focus ST. With the OEM tires the car is very easy to slide around playfully on the street. It sort of reminds me of our 8th gen SI after installing the OS Giken LSD.
The car is easily tossable, feels very light, and allows you to get on the gas very early. The Veloster has data readouts for boost, oil temp, coolant temp, tire pressures, G force, lap times and much more. It will allow you to go back after sessions and look at graphs of the last 30 minutes for all of those parameters. Its also extremely easy to put into "N" mode and to completely disable all nannies ( no pedal dance here).
