The MPP.R Plaid gets out for its first shakedown of 2022. The track is wet, oiled down. The driving is cautious after the events of 2021. A 1:13 is certainly possible as this lap has many mistakes!
The car is so incredibly fun to drive now - with Track Mode the car is allowed to put the power down aggressively and it's a joy to try to control the 1000hp on tap coming out of each corner. What a beast!
As far as we know, no car has ever gone this fast on a standard street tire (non R-Compound or racing slick). It's impressive because there is still more in it, and this is a relatively small and tight track.
TeamPGR will be picking the car up shortly, and we'll continue our testing down south in preparation for One Lap Of America 2022. Wish us luck!
