Finally had time to sort through the videos after my European Delivery. The track was amazing, the organizer not so much. Like most European Track days, It was Open Lapping and Open passing format. However it was filled with Red flags every 15 min, unbelievable amount of traffic, huge skill differential, huge equipment differential. Unfortunately led to me not having a single open lap all day. This was the only session(2 laps) with Mediocre traffic. Eau Rouge was harder to nail at speed than expected, definately not like the video games lol.
I wish had i more seat time without traffic to experience and learn more but still accomplished a sub 40 as my goal. However seeing the footage, clearly this was a 37 lap but blocked by traffic. With Stickier Tires , more seat time and less traffic low 30s can be achievable.
Had a brown stain moment with a local racer in a GT4 Clubsport at the end of the Kemmel Straight due to aggressive driving style of europeans or maybe thats their way of welcoming a foreigner like me with Temporary plates.
Still had fun, would like to come back one day with a different organizer, however not sure when I will get the chance again.
