I decided to give the Porsche a break and both Mel and I split driving in the Miata on a perfect Sunday in August. This was my fastest lap of the day but I was running really consistently under 1:59 for most of the sessions. It feels good to be able to go out and know that I can run under 2 min laps on this track even in the Miata. The weather literally couldn't have been better for a track day, 74 degrees with a light breeze and partly cloudy. The track was warm and the tires were sticking well but the cars weren't getting hot and we ran 48 timed laps between the two of us. She had to cut short her last session because the car was running out of gas, and it started out full in the morning.
