First Track day of the year (in my own car). Feeling very rusty jumping back in. Made a lot of improvements to the car since the last time I ran this configuration, was only able to shave off a bit more than a second, unfortunately.
Replaced the transmission from the last track day at Grand Bend which destroyed the rear engine mount. The new trans has a Kaaz clutch type 1.5 LSD in it so now I'm no longer just 1 tire fire. Last year I knew the car was capable of going sub minute; just needed to develop the skills to do it. Well I got sub minute but honestly not too pleased with the result. I think I could have gotten into late 57s. Maybe another time after I've had the time to dust off the cobwebs from offseason.
Fastest Lap was (0:59.16) beating last year's (1:00:832) with a theoretical of (0:58.77). There were a lot of mistakes made; I just could not get myself to chain all the good corners together in 1 hotlap. Learned a lot though, and made some good friends out there today. I am really enjoying taking passengers and scaring the absolute shit out of them.
