This was the second time I had ever really driven Buttonwillow and this was during KW's track day in 2022. I had been assisting KW with their V5 C8 coil over development. The first test day (Auto Club Speedway) showed that the rear springs were too stiff. This was the second time out and with the softer rear rates, dramatically changed the car. 

The coil overs were good for about 1.5 seconds at most tracks over the Magride. Is Magride bad? No, absolutely not, but when you're really trying to run the fastest lap possible and are trying different lines through the corners, the Magride always reacts how it thinks it needs to around the corner. The KW's primarily improved confidence via repeatable performance, and also allowed for a softer rear compression setting to really help cut down corner exit oversteer.

Champion road race driver Billy Johnson took my C8 out (he also has thousands of laps at Buttonwillow) and was able to run 2.2 seconds (1:53) than me...and he was surprised I ran that close to him (even though 2 seconds on a road course is a lot!).
