First time with Hoosiers on the C8. Didn't think I'd be running a lot of Purple Crack on this car but I gotta say, it was built for it. Chassis felt amazing, and the stiff sidewalls of the Hoosiers plus the AMT Monoballs made for a car with a ton of feedback at the limit and it was easy to drive. Could save a tenth on the entry to Big Bend, and maybe 2 tenths on the entries to the Uphill and West Bend. So with better driving I woulda been high 56s. Over the winter we'll add a splitter and a little setup change and I'm confident it'll be in the 55s (on a similarly cool day as this - mid 50s)

Finally, I've dyno'd this motor twice to confirm it's down on power compared to my first motor. On the second dyno I brought a buddy with a stock 22 C8 Convertible. On the same day on the same Dynojet, he made 415whp to my 394whp. So I'm down at least 20whp, which is evident by the speed in to Big Bend. On the old motor and stock tires I was 7mph slower in the downhill, but at the same top speed for the braking zone as the R7s. So that's a bit of a bummer, but hopefully that means this "soft" motor will last forever!
