With better driving I definitely see 1:32 then 1:31 on the table. Might need faster tires and perfect December weather to hit 1:30.
Comparing videos of my S2000 to others it looks like I am due for an engine rebuild and that I am probably a bit down on power, I estimate about 10% WHP (ie im probably around 200 vs the strong 220+ I could be). I'm barely making it into 5th gear on the front straight and a lot of times it's faster for me to just redline it at 115mph in 4th rather than shift to 5th and get an extra 1mph on the straight but have to downshift around turn 1. It also would be nice to not have to downshift around turn 9 but my stock VTEC engagement makes that too slow for the time being.
Other than driver mod and increased track time here I think the three biggest upgrades I will be pursuing will be an engine rebuild for increased WHP, a stand alone ECU (currently using stock AP1 ECU) to take advantage of exhaust mods and lower VTEC engagement, and upgrading the tires to something sticky like Hoosiers.
