A few laps in a 2012 Audi R8 LMS Ultra. Best time of 1:13.2 at Portland International Raceway. This was my first few laps in the car and it was quite a handful to get my head wrapped around after not having driven much for the better part of 10 months. The most impressive part of this car was the drama free braking. Despite not having pushed it too deep, its clear that you can brake from 160mph on the front straight at the 300ft marker with room to spare. The cornering power is very high (as you would imagine) and it was a bit loose at high speed turn in. The low speed mechanical grip from the gigantic slicks was quite good as well! The PWC cars were running high 1:11's at the front of the field when they were here a few years back, so 1.5 seconds off with no dialing in, in the first few laps is an excellent start! All in all 10/10 A++ Would drive again.
