Shannonville Motorsport Park Fabi
Shannonville Motorsport Park Fabi Notes:
The Shannonville Motorsports Park is a racing complex in operation since 1974 in Belleville, Ontario. It sits on a two-hour ride northeast of Toronto, Canada, approximately midway between Toronto and Montreal. The park's location near Lake Ontario helps regulate the temperature extremes, easing down the snowfall in winter and cooling down the summer heat. That means excellent conditions for racing year-round, pleasant temperatures, and weather variability adding up to the excitement. Shannonville Motorsports Park is known as "The Birthplace of Champions," with famous racers like the Formula 1 World Champion Jacques Villeneuve honing his racing skills in the multi-purpose motorsports complex.
There are four road course layouts at the Shannonville Motorsports Park: the 4.03-km (2.5-mile) Long Track, the 2.47 km (1.53-mile) Pro Track, the 2.23 km (1.38-mile) Fabi Circuit, and the 1.80 km (1.12-mile) Nelson Circuit. A quarter-mile Drag Strip completes the racing facilities of the complex. Some of the events held regularly at the park are the Mopar Canadian Superbike Championship, the Canadian Touring Car Championship, and the CASCAR Super Series (now a part of NASCAR), to name a few.
Fabi Notes:
The Fabi Circuit at Shannonville Motorsport Park delivers 2.23 kilometers of challenges at this historic Ontario facility named in honor of racing legacy. Located 15 kilometers east of Belleville, the Fabi configuration represents a mid-length variant between Shannonville's shortest Nelson Circuit (1.80km) and longest Long Track (4.03km). The circuit serves intermediate-level drivers seeking more challenge than the Nelson while avoiding the full intimidation of the Long Track's extended sections.
Operating the Fabi Circuit showcases Shannonville's multi-configuration capability serving diverse skill levels across Southern Ontario's motorsport community. The 2.23-kilometer distance creates lap times allowing comfortable session density while providing legitimate racing challenges. Ontario's continental climate creates distinct seasonal windows with operations primarily April through October. The Fabi Circuit serves Shannonville's diverse programming where the mid-length configuration accommodates club racing and track day groups seeking balanced challenge at Canada's historic motorsport venue.
